Where are we going to stay this year?

We are going to Adirondack State Park in upstate New York. This is the largest state park in the USA and is larger than the entire state of Vermont.

We will be staying at the Putnam Pond State Campground.

" Putnam Pond is a key start off point for hikers trekking into the Pharaoh Lake Wilderness area. While it also offers interior site camping, which require a boat for access, most campers prefer to stay in the developed area where they can try their hand fishing by the dam, or rent a canoe or rowboat. The campsites offer privacy; they are large and well forested. Camping equipment from tents to 30' RV's can be accommodated. Campground offers a variety of recreational opportunities including: Canoeing and boating, fishing, and hiking. "

A nice write-up of this campground can be found on the Adirondack Explorer web site.

We will be staying in adjacent sites #30 and #31.

Each site can accommodate up to 6 people and 2 cars. One site allows 2 tents, and the other a small trailer or two tents. We can therefore have a maximum of 12 people, 4 tents, and 4 cars.

What are the costs for this years trip?
