Canoe rentals at South Branch Pond are $1 per hour or $8 for the whole day. A very good deal.

Morning contemplation
After about 30 minutes watching the sun rise and taking pictures I was joined by Paul. When I saw him on the dock contemplating the morning I knew I had a great picture.

The Ledges at 7 AM
Paul and I decided it would be nice to take an early morning hike up to the Ledges to take in the view of the rising sun on the mountains and lake. We were not dissapointed.

To the left is first rise of North Traveller mountain (3152 ft) and in the center background is the Peak of the Ridges (3254 ft), leading up to South Traveller mountain (behind the tree, 3541 ft).
